Surveying over 3,000 manuscripts for long-term conservation work

Specialist conservators from around the world assessed 3,306 manuscripts to enable conservation to be scheduled according to need and significance. The manuscripts were documented across 15 separate trips. Tens of thousands of drawings and digital photographs created the largest body of information on bookbinding in the Christian Middle East.
