This project to remove the monastery's main water storage tank from the roof of the South Wing and create a new water pumping station outside the walls was the Foundation's first (completed 1998). It was initiated to eliminate the risk of water damage to the Library, which is located on the second floor of the South Wing.

The new water pumping station is situated outside the monastery walls. Engineering and the procurement of equipment were carried out free of charge by donor third parties.
